RHYTHM FOR READING SERVICES LIMITED
The Rhythm for Reading programme uses rhythmic patterns instead of words to accelerate reading development. The programme is based on the findings of a five-year research project at UCL Institue of Education, London and is effective as a group teaching method. Low-attaining and middle-attaining students make rapid progress in phonics, reading accuracy and reading comprehension after 10 weekly sessions of ONLY 10 minutes. Rhythm for Reading digital resources are streamed onto interactive whiteboards and include 'PREPSTEPS', the digital professional development programme that supports teachers while they deliver the Rhythm for Reading programme. This reading intervenion programme is used in the UK with students aged from 5 to 15 years and in special schools with students aged from 12 to 18 years.
